Thank you for choosing The Cobb for your function. We have the Balcony Bar available for hire.

General Functions
A $300 Bond is required to secure your booking. $200 of this can be used on the night and $100 will
be retained until after the function. Once everything is checked over and no damages have occurred,
we will refund the $100 back by bank deposit. Your booking date is not confirmed until your deposit
is paid in full.

18th & 21st Functions
A $300 Bond is required to secure your booking, this will be retained until after the function. Once
everything is checked over and no damages have occurred, we will refund the $300 back by bank
deposit. An additional $200 Room Hire is required, this is non-refundable. Your booking is not
confirmed until your deposit is paid in full.

Cancellations - Function’s cancelled within 10 days prior to the function date, will require a to pay a $150 Cancellation fee.

Functions booked on a Friday, or a Saturday night require a minimum spend of $1000, feel free to contact us to discuss alternatives to suit your budget (the cost of the platters, subsidized bar-tabs and deposit can be included in this).

The Balcony Bar can accommodate up to 200 guests – this includes using the outside balcony area (60ish people comfortably inside the bar). The Balcony bar is available all year round and has heaters outside available.

We also supply security staff for our premises from 9pm till 11pm on Thursday night and 9pm till 1am on Fridays and Saturday nights. We provide you with a fully stocked bar with fully trained bar staff available for the length of your function.

You have several options for music during your function – you are more than welcome to use our music system, or you can bring your own laptop or IPOD/Phone to plug into the stereo system. DJ Lights are also available on the balcony and supplied at no extra charge.

Plasma Television is available for use in both function areas if you’re wanting to run a slide show of photos. Please arrange a time to make sure we have the right connections and leads for your laptop or USB to view these.

No food is to be brought into or on to the premises.
Excluded from this are a birthday/celebration cake, chippies & dip. Hot & cold platters are available from our kitchen – see attached list. Please note birthday cakes with

Bar-Tabs and Decorations
There are a variety of drink options available for your tab. We are happy to work with
whatever options best suits your budget.

Some options are subsidised drinks e.g. $2, beer, wine & non-alcoholic only, or open bar.

You can decorate the function room with balloons etc, and the room will be available from
3pm for you. However, please Do Not use staples, pins, or Sellotape for pinning things up, blue
tack is fine. NO CONFETTI (otherwise bond will not be refunded.)

Function times and dates are flexible are available any day of the week, please discuss this
with us what you require, and we’ll will work with you to sort a time that suits you.

A few rules we need to abide by under the sale of liquor act 1983
(If you are unsure or have any questions, please contact the bar manager for clarification)

• The law prohibits any person under 18 being on the premises, between 9.30pm – 11pm unless they are accompanied by parent or legal guardian (proof may be required).
• All minors must leave the premises by 11pm, as The Cobb becomes a Restricted Area by our House Rules.
• NO ALCOHOL!! is to be brought into or onto the premises. All beverages are to be purchased on site (this is a condition of our License). 
• As states previously No food is to be brought into or on to the premises. Excluded from this area birthday/celebration cake, chippies & dip. Hot & cold platters are available from our kitchen – see attached list.
• We may need to slow down service or refuse service to anyone deemed to be intoxicated, this will be communicated with you the function hosts if any such occasions arise. It is against the law for us to have intoxicated people on the premises or allow them to become intoxicated we may be required to ask them to leave or ask in your assistance to keep an eye on their drinking before it becomes a problem. Our kitchen is open till 9pm with our after-hour’s menu available till close and we also provide low and non-alcoholic drinks, and our staff can arrange safe transport home.
• A high standard of behaviour is also expected from our patrons both public and in our functions, if any behaviour is deemed threatening, rude, or inappropriate towards fellow customers, staff, or passers-by we will be required to remove them.
• If anything is thrown over the Balcony, guests urinating or vomiting over the Balcony the function will be shut down immediately. This is for the safety of passing predestines and vehicles and it is also a breach of our Liquor licence. Also, any broken glasses will be deducted from your bond refund.
